    The Paramount Theatre/Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA) is an innovative organization located in the heart of the richly diverse community of historic Aurora, Illinois (one hour from downtown Chicago). ACCA is a parent organization, which also includes a 501(c)3 arm under the name of Paramount Arts Centre, Inc. It operates four performance venues: the outdoor RiverEdge Park, the landmark Paramount Theatre, Copley Theatre, and the intimate, newly opened Stolp Island Theatre. ACCA proudly operates the Paramount School of the Arts in the John C. Dunham Aurora Arts Center. ACCA and its opulent interiors provide a spectacular backdrop for private functions such as wedding receptions or corporate galas.

    POSITION: 
    DEPARTMENT – Production Department

    DIRECT REPORTING – This position reports to Company Manager (CM) and the Assistant Company Manager (ACM)
     
    POSITION STATUS & SCHEDULE – Part time, up to 20 hours per week with potential for growth in hours and position scope.
     
    COMPENSATION – Hourly rate beginning at $21/hour. Position also qualifies for accrued paid time off, semi-flexible schedule, and complimentary tickets to our produced productions.
     
    START DATE – Ideally 8/26/24
     
    POSITION SUMMARY – As the Company Management Associate, you will work with the Production department to support the productions. Your chief responsibilities as Company Management Associate are to administratively support Company Management (CM) and the Production Department as a whole and enrich the experience of the show company by handling logistical and administrative duties while collaborating with diverse perspectives. The CM team is most often the show company’s first impression of the organization and constant resource throughout each production.
     
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Advocate for company members to ensure an equitable, positive and enriching work experience.
    • Administrative tasks within the following branches of work: 
      • Production/Artistic: creating and maintaining administrative paperwork through data entry; curating content and proofreading initial program information; read and respond to rehearsal and performance reports as needed
      • Accounting: Submitting and expensing receipts and process invoices from vendors
      • Hospitality: manage and work with operational cleaning staff and operations staff to maintain company-owned artist housing; inventory and restock supplies; schedule catered meals and the staff needed to supervise, post weekly menus; work with Company Management team on events to boost morale and provide a considerate work environment.
    • Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism with regard to current and future productions, casting, design, staffing, budgets, salaries and other sensitive aspects of the production process.
    JOB DUTIES FOR CMA:
    • Advocate and initiate EDI practices into Company Management (i.e., pay equity, equitable casting, accessibility, etc.)
    • Inventory, purchase, and deliver supplies for artist apartments, rehearsals, and weekend meals during performance runs for productions.
    • Coordinate with caterers and/or local restaurants to plan group meals during performance runs for productions, including the creation and posting of menus, scheduling staff and being primary substitute staff as needed.
    • Purchase and deliver treats for technical load-ins and rehearsals for productions.
    • Expense and catalogue receipts and invoices from outside vendors.
    • Coordinate with operational cleaning staff and operations staff to maintain company-owned artist housing.
    • Collaborate with Company Management, HR, and Marketing departments to create and update policy and hospitality information for company members.
    • Maintain applicable paperwork needed to support Stage Management’s pre-production work including, but not limited to, company member welcome packets, hotel discount information, actor emergency contacts, actor policies, etc.
    • Proofread programs and applicable marketing materials for productions.
    • Communicate show company list to partner hotel and distribute hotel discount information to show companies.
    • Read all rehearsal and performance reports and respond as needed.
    • Organize and coordinate company events throughout rehearsals and performances.
    • Work with CM and ACM to bolster and maintain company morale.
    • Special projects and additional duties as assigned by CM and ACM.
    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
    • Driver’s License
    • Ability to lift and transport 40 lb.
    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
    • Experience with Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of live theatre
    • Strong social acumen
